Want to help fund our activities?
We want to keep all our activities free for all students. If you would like to help, you can make a donation using the QR code. These funds go to buying Book Wars t-shirts for all Book Wars participants, buying materials for some of our maker activities, prizes for our various games and raffles throughout the year, and supporting library events throughout the year.
Book Wars 2024-2025
Book Wars 2024-2025
Books Wars is an opportunity for MCPS middle school students to share their love of reading with others while participating in a competition that promotes teamwork and sportsmanship. Students compete in small teams against other MCPS middle schools in a quiz-show style competition. Participants meet weekly on Wednesday's at lunch beginning in late September.

Library Advisory Board
This after-school club creates bulletin boards and displays, make lists of books to be ordered, and help with determining and implementing promotions and activities within the media center. The group meets approximately every other Tuesday after school. Exact dates are:

Come work with Ms.Knafelc and Ms. Thomas in the media center! If you enjoy all things library-related and have a desire to help peers and staff, you should apply.
Duties Include:
attending and promoting library activities
maintaining the media center (shelving books and keeping sections organized)
leading other students with responsible and respectful behavior
