The Summer of STEAM is upon us! It's time for you to Ask Questions, Imagine the Possibilities, Plan a Solution, Create Your Vision, Test Your Ideas, Improve the Project and Share the Results! This Engineering and Design Process is essential to bringing your ideas to life within the STEAM Experience. What's your passion within STEAM? Is it Science, Technology, Engineering Arts or Math?
So join us...
...and dive right into the Summer of STEAM!!
This summer, we want you to use literature as your inspiration for your STEAM Challenge. Students will have the opportunity to choose from three different books:
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst
Rosie Revere Engineer by Andrea Beaty
The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig by Eugene Trivizas
Choose one of the problems the characters face in the story and create, build, design or redesign something that would help solve their problem. Use the Engineering and Design Process to help guide you in your challenge. Use the STEAM Challenge Organizer to help you plan and document as you go.
Like Ms. Frizzle always says. "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!".
