World Languages Give You The Competitive Advantage:

The University of Maryland requires 2 years of a world language in high school but recommends that students “exceed that minimum, taking several honors and/or AP courses." Four years of successful study in a language at NW plus a completer activity can make you eligible for the World Language Scholar distinction.
