No Place for Hate (NPFH) at Julius West Middle School

What is "No Place for Hate"?

With public displays of hate on the rise, it is more important than ever for schools to commit to programs that clearly define expectations in behavior for all members of the community. Whether you are a student, educator, or family member, you have a role to play in combating bias and bullying as a means to stop the escalation of hate.

"No Place for Hate" is a program that the ADL (The Anti-Defamation League) started. It is a self-directed program helping all of the stakeholders in a community take the lead on improving and maintaining school climate so all students can thrive.

"No Place for Hate" Schools

ADL’s No Place for Hate initiative is a school climate improvement framework that provides Pre K-12 schools with an organizing framework for combating bias, bullying and hatred, leading to long-term solutions for creating and maintaining a positive climate.

No Place for Hate schools receive their designation by:

  • Building inclusive and safe communities in which respect is the goal, and all students can thrive.
  • Empowering students, faculty, administration and family members to take a stand against hate and bullying by incorporating new and existing programs under one powerful message.
  • Sending a clear, unified message that all students have a place to belong.
