UDL Connections:

• Illustrate through multiple media: Textbook includes videos, illustrations, and PLIX (Play Learn Interact eXplore) activities

• Optimize individual choice and autonomy: Students can start with the textbook section, or choose "other ways to learn" (see picture below)

• Clarify vocabulary and symbols: selected terms (in green) are hyperlinked to a definition, and activities related to the vocabulary word

• Highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships: Summaries are written at the bottom of some science sections, and CK-12 study guides include "big picture" summaries, key terms, and notes (study guides available in some 2.0 Flexbooks ).

• Increase mastery-oriented feedback: Students can check their work - some flexbooks include practice questions with multiple choice options, and immediate feedback to the student. Some math books have problem sets and the option for students to download the answers.
