Meet Mrs. Mullarkey

Hi, I'm Mrs. Mullarkey!

I was born in New Rochelle, New York and moved to Maryland to attend the University of Maryland for college. In high school, I participated in the concert band, jazz band, and marching band, as well as the basketball team. At the University of Maryland I was a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Saxophone Ensemble, and the Marching Band. My sophomore, junior, and senior years, I was chosen to be the section leader of the saxophones in the marching band, The Mighty Sound of Maryland! I graduated from UMD in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and then in 2014 with a Master's Degree in Education in Human Development.

I have been teaching music in Montgomery County Public Schools since 2009. I have taught at Earle B. Wood Middle School, Silver Creek Middle School, South Lake Elementary School, Capt. James E. Daly Elementary School, and Fox Chapel Elementary School.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family (my husband and my sons), performing with my saxophone quartet (the Free State Saxophone Quartet), and learning about photography!
