About Us 

Mrs. McInerney(Mrs. Mac)- This is my 9th year as a Media Specialist at Sequoyah Elementary.  I have been a classroom teacher  of grades K,1,2,3,4,5 , reading initiative and 5th grade math teacher in my career in MCPS.  I was also a Media Specialist for 5 years prior  to  coming to Sequoyah in MCPS.   I enjoy being able to help students , staff ,and parents with  finding good resources and materials to use, and I consider myself a lifelong learner.  My goal is to help students find  fun and informative reading materials ,so they will always want to read!  I am married with  two children; a daughter  who is in  college, and a son who is  in high school. We have  our cocker spaniel doggie, Jax !  I love being at Sequoyah,  and I look forward to helping all  our stallions!

 Circulation Students in Kindergarten and 1st grade may check out one book for a loan period of 2 weeks. Students in 2nd grade may check out 2 books at a time for a loan period of 2 weeks. These books can be renewed.Students in 3rd– 5th grade may check out 3 books at a time for a loan period of 2 weeks. These books can be renewed.

Students may not check out books until any overdue books are returned.  Please contact us if you have any questions!
