Cutoff Dates for FY23 Operating Budget Expenditures

• First step should be contacting and speaking with Amy to move forward
• Contracts and justification forms must be completed for paid or unpaid vendors, agencies, organizations, person(s) in schools working with children, students, families, or staff including attending wellness or health fairs, family engagement, community engagement, outreach events.  The below documents are the first step in the process.  

• The process takes up to 6 weeks. Any services, performances, professional development, wraparound services should not take place until the contract process has been complete and approval given. 

• The contract process does not apply to current MCPS students.

Further FY 24 Spending Information:

• Equipment/technology/furniture cannot be purchased

• Outdoor signs/construction (electronic or otherwise) cannot be purchased

• Gifts for staff for any reason (candles, baskets, awards, food, incentives, gift cards) cannot be purchased

• All spending must align to implementation plans or needs assessment

• See above document for supplanting v supplementing

• Funds cannot be used to pay MCPS employees or their family members.

• Email Taishan and Amy with request for spending for approval and budget codes prior to any spending.
