Below you'll find the Summer 2023
Math Calendars by Grade Level
To our future 1st - 5th grade students and parents:
Our students have worked so hard this year to gain many new math strategies and understandings, and we don’t want anyone to lose their learning over the summer. For this reason, each student will receive a two sided summer math calendar of quick math activities that will allow your student to engage in meaningful and productive math thinking all summer long. Any student who completes at least 35 activities, attaches any applicable work, and turns it in to their teacher by September 1st will be eligible to receive a reward for all of their hard work.
To our fifth grade students and parents:
Even though you won’t be returning to us, it’s very important to us that you start middle school math off on the right foot. For this reason, we’ve provided a link on the one sheet document that your students received so that you can spend some purposeful time this summer reviewing what you have learned through interactive games and engaging tasks so that you are prepared to jump right into sixth grade math. Students should set their own goals for completing the math activities from all five areas for their appropriate math classes, and should use a math journal to show any work that might help them to solve the given tasks. The journal can also be used to keep track of all that has been worked on, and what still needs to be completed. There are also 3 additional math packets that can be used to support your entrance to 5th grade depending on the math course that they are currently enrolled in for 6th grade.
We hope that you have a wonderful summer, and can’t wait to work with you and your children in the Fall!
