As a part of our comprehensive literacy instruction for all students, below are independent writing samples created and chosen for display by our students. Using the SETT framework, each Longview student has an accessible alternative pencil with access to all of the letters of the alphabet to write. Longview educators would help scribe for students when needed and support in the co-construction of the writer’s meaning. Students engage in independent writing multiple times weekly and share their writing with the class each Friday.
