Learner’s Permit Testing On-Site at Sherwood!

Sherwood is partnering with the MVA to offer students the opportunity to take the official Learner’s Permit Knowledge Test right here at school! Students who pass will receive a completion certificate that allows them to go straight to the MVA to pick up their permit. Students who are 15 years & 9 months (or older) by December 9, 2025, can participate. Full details are below.

Spaces are limited, so students should register early!

STEP 1: Complete Interest Form HERE to reserve your spot.

STEP 2: Turn in your signed permission slip to Ms. Lynch in Room A107 by November 21, 2025.

STEP 3: Prepare for the Learner's Permit test! It is available in 16 languages so let us know if you need something other than English.

STEP 4: Immediately afterschool on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, come to the Media Center for the test. Make sure to bring your Valid Student Photo ID or Unexpired Maryland State Identification Card issued by MDOT MVA.

STEP 5: Once you pass, you will receive a letter you can take directly to the MVA to get your permit printed out!
