ATTENTION 8th GRADE FAMILIES!
In addition to the various academic programs in the local high schools, Grade 8 students may be eligible to apply to MCPS High School Regional/Countywide Application Programs (criteria-based/selective and interest based/lottery). We’ve created a one-stop-shop document with all of the information you will need: https://bit.ly/3TeRKOb. This document will be regularly updated with additional information as it becomes available. We recommend bookmarking the document and visiting it once a day to check for new information. High School applications will be available through ParentVue and will open in early October. If you do not have a ParentVue account set up, please follow the directions in the Support Guide (Guía de Ayuda para Usar ParentVUE).
Parents and guardians with questions or those who need support setting up ParentVUE may contact the 8th grade counselor, Gerry Thomas (Geraldine_S_Thomas@mcpsmd.org or 301-284-4850).
