Ms. Smith - RT, Student Support Grade 9, 12

I am in my 19th year of teaching and my 10th year at GHS. I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech and my teaching background is French and Spanish. I moved to academic support 3 years ago while working with the Trojan Experience, and the past 3 years while running the Graduation Support Program. My educational philosophy lies in the belief that every student can succeed, given the proper supports. Any investment in our students is never wasted, and I welcome our parents and community as partners in that investment.

Ms. Flores - Student Support Specialist, Grade 9, 10

Hi! I'm Mrs. Flores, a Student Support Specialist here at GHS. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Towson University. I am entering my 9th year of teaching, and this is my second year at GHS. I love to spend time with my family, cooking, eating, swimming, and traveling! I live in Silver Spring with my husband and 4 boys.

Ms. Nadjibe - Student Support Specialist, Grade 9, 11

I am a Student Support Specialist at GHS. I have been teaching for 15 years, 8 years at GHS. I have been working in Student Support for 2 years. I have a B.A. in French & Spanish from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master of Arts in Teaching from SIT Graduate institute.

Ms. Toso - Trauma Support Specialist

Hi! I'm Mrs. Toso, a Student Support Specialist here at GHS. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Towson University, and a Master’s Degree in Brain-Based Teaching from NOVA Southeastern University. I am a certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional and I also work with the Child Advocacy Center of Frederick County, MD. I am entering my 9th year of teaching, and this is my fourth year at GHS. I enjoy hiking, gardening, swimming, boating - anything outdoors! I also love to play piano and read. I live in Frederick with my husband and cat.


Ms. Turner - Human Behavior and Alt I

My name is Nicole Turner. I have been teaching for 21 years (7 years MCPS, 11 PGCPS, 2 years CCPS). This is my 2nd year teaching Human Behavior and prior to that I was a Special Education teacher. I have a BA in Youth & Human Services from Salem International and a ME in Education Administration and a MA in Autism Spectrum Disorders. In my free time, I have enjoyed coaching JV Girls Soccer, JV Girls Basketball, Varsity Girls Basketball, Corollary Sports - Bocce Ball. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.
