This is Ms. Poelstra's 3rd year teaching at Key and 1st in 6th Grade. When not teaching she can be found cooking, reading, listening to music, or hanging out with her family in New Jersey. She is excited for students to learn more about the world around them and make connections between the past and the present.
Mr. Krupp joins the Key team after a 14-year career as an environmental planner in the San Francisco, California Bay Area. He loves to travel to cities around the globe and is passionate about sustainability. You may even find him riding his electric bicycle around town.
Ms. Covington loves teaching, and is excited to continue working as part of the Francis Scott Key Family. She enjoys spending her time with family, friends, and her beloved Yorkiepoo, Sophie, when she is not teaching.
Mr. O'Shaughnessy loves the outdoors, the beach, and finding history wherever he goes. He enjoys many hobbies including cooking, coaching, gardening, playing softball, leatherworking, canning, camping, and spending time with his wife, sons, and his two big dogs. He is very excited to be teaching at Key Middle School and sharing his talent and with the community.

This is Mr. Greubel's 5th year teaching and 1st year at Francis Scott Key Middle School. He enjoys role-playing games, chess, and cycling. One thing Mr. Greubel is very excited about discussing is the interpretation and impressions each student has of historical figures and events.
Ms. Funk has a passion for traveling, reading, and helping students discover how they can impact the world. This is her 6th year at Key and her 11th year teaching middle school.
Ms. Henderson is a Montgomery County native. She has supported numerous departments during her time at Key. She loves to dance, sing, and is a tremendous performer. She also loves anything pumpkin spice!
This is Mr. Koenig's 7th year at Key. He has taught English, Reading, and US History. He loves traveling, basketball, and spending time with family and friends. He's excited to ensure learning this school year is rigorous and relevant for ALL students!
