The Black-Eyed Susan program is a children’s book choice award for the State of Maryland. Since 1992, students all over Maryland read books nominated by the committee and vote for which one is their favorite. There are two categories for middle school: chapter books and graphic novels. The lists of nominated books by category are below. You must read 3 books from a category in order to vote -- you can read three chapter books, three graphic novels, or three from each. Voting will take place in the spring; more information will be available then. EVERY STUDENT VOTE COUNTS!
