Black-Eyed Susan Program: Students participate in reading books that were selected by Maryland librarians. The award seeks to encourage a love of reading by providing high quality diverse texts for students to hear as read alouds or check out for independent reading. All students in grades K, 1 and 2 will have the picture books read to them and will vote on their favorites.
Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 who would like to learn more about the chapter books and graphic novels can click on the Black-Eyed Susan Chapter and Graphic presentation. These books are available at Farmland, at the public library and in ebook version on Sora.
