Important Deadlines for the Jumpstart to College Dual Enrollment Process

• Fall 2026 semester courses: Friday, June 5, 2026

• Spring 2027 semester courses: Friday, December 18, 2026

• Fall 2027 semester courses: Friday, June 4, 2027

MCPS students must have begun the registration process with the DEPA (Dual Enrollment Program Assistant) at their high school by the registration deadline to be able to complete the dual enrollment process.

August 2026

• 20: 1st Delete payment deadline for fall 2026

• 24: Official beginning of fall semester

• 24: Faculty return for professional week

• 27: 2nd Delete payment deadline for fall 2026

• 28: Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver begins for fall 2026

• 31: Fall semester classes begin

• 31: First seven week fall classes begin

September 2026

• 1: Spring priority deadline for students changing status (B-2 or F-2) to F-1. See International Coordinators for more information.

• 1: Check "View Drop Deadline Dates" on your class schedule in My MC for your specific deadlines for refund, add, drop without a W, drop with a W, or change from audit/credit.  The deadlines are different for each class! 

• 7: MC CLOSED; Labor Day holiday

• 11: Last day to change major/curriculum for fall 2026

• 12–13: Fall semester weekend classes begin

• 14: 13 week classes begin

• 18: Dream Act applications due for fall 2026

• 18: Disability Tuition Waiver Forms due for fall 2026

October 2026

• 1: Fall Graduation application deadline

• 1: Spring deadline for new international students (F-1/M-1) to apply for a form I-20 (outside of the U.S. or planning to change status)

• 12-16: Fall midterm exams

• 20: MC Day; no classes for students, non-instructional duty day for faculty

• 21: Fall midterm grades due

• 28: Second seven week classes begin

November 2026

• 1: Spring deadline to submit transcripts to MC for transfer credit evaluation

• 25–29: MC CLOSED; fall break

December 2026

• 1: Spring form I-20 paperwork deadline for transfer students in the U.S.

• 1: Winter/spring priority admissions application deadline for students new to college

• 1: Spring deadline to request disability support services

• 14–20: Fall final exam week

• 17: Winter senior citizen tuition waiver begins

• 20: Official end of fall semester

• 21–23: Non-instructional duty day for faculty

• 23: Fall final grades due from faculty by 11:59 p.m.

• 24–January 1: MC CLOSED; winter break
