Meet the Coach

Mrs. MacTurk is on her eighth year teaching English in MCPS; her first six years with MCPS she taught at Wheaton High School. She then took a year long hiatus where she taught in San Diego, California. She is excited to be back in MCPS starting her FOURTH year teaching English at Gaithersburg High School. She currently resides in Rockville with her son, dog, and two cats.

Mrs. MacTurk is a product of MCPS and attended Rockville High School. After graduating from the University of Maryland at College Park with a double major in English and Secondary Education, she stayed local to the area to begin teaching high school English. She has taught English 9 Honors, English 11, English 11 Honors, AP Language and Composition, and English 10.

This is Mrs. MacTurk's sixth year coaching a Debate Team.
