Students must complete the program prior to graduating high school.
Students must complete 450 hours of work-based training and one year of related classroom instruction.
Students must complete and submit all required forms by the specified deadlines.
Students must report to their apprenticeship site on time and be prepared to work.
A highly motivated and responsible student
Age 16 or older
A rising junior or senior currently enrolled in an MCPS high school
Have a Social Security number or legal authorization to be employed in the United States based on Federal Requirements.
Able to coordinate public or personal transportation to and from a work site
Apprenticeships are paid experiences with an employer.
Students will work 450 hours either during the school day or after school.
Students will take classes or training related to their apprenticeship.
Apprenticeships:
Are a CTE completer for graduation.
Are Advanced Level credit.
Students are recognized with a graduation cord from Maryland Department of Labor.
