College Applications And Searches Thursday, June 21st, 7:30am to 2:30pm

Students will work on beginning their college applications, completing applications, formulating a list of schools to which they will apply and much more. This workshop is designed for rising 12th graders.

Naviance/Naviance Student Friday, July 6th, 7:30am to 2:30pm

This workshop is designed to help students and families members learn to use this excellent program and learn what it can do for you. This workshop is geared toward rising 10th and 11th graders

Personal Statement Writing Review Workshop July 11th, 7:30am to 2:30pm

Rising seniors are encouraged to start writing these very important sections of the college application now. Staff will be available to review essays.

The Common Application Workshop Wednesday, July 18th, 7:30am to 2:30pm

More and more colleges are using the Commonapp for their applications. This workshop will teach students how to use the CommonApp as well as how to integrate Naviance/Family Connection with the CommonApp for electronic applications. Rising seniors are encouraged to attend.

The Coalition Application Workshop Thurs., July 19th, 1:30 -3:30pm ****New location - Wootton HS with representatives from UMD-CP

It is going to be held in the Wootton auditorium on Thursday, July 19th from 1:30-3:30. Students MUST email Ms. Sliffman to register. Limited seating available.

Many colleges are using the Coalition for College Access as their applications. This workshop will teach students how to use the Coalition application as well as how to integrate the recommendation process with Naviance/Naviance Student for this electronic application. Rising seniors are encouraged to attend.

Students Can Download Microsoft Office at Home for Free - Montgomery County Public Schools

The Maryland Department of Education and Microsoft have entered into a collaborative partnership that allows all students to get the latest version of the Microsoft Office software suite, Office 365 ProPlus, at no cost. Office 365 ProPlus includes the full suite of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as the ability to create, save and share Office files online. Under the program, students and staff are able to download and install the Microsoft Office software on up to five devices free of charge. The devices may be PCs, Macs, tablets or phones.
