On January 21st, 2022, Coach Marshall was named the 4th Head Coach in Blake Football history. Having previously served as the Junior Varsity Coach at Blake for 6 years,
In his second year as head coach, Marshall was able to lead the Bengals to a school record 11 wins while capturing the schools first ever undefeated regular season, division title, and regional title in 2023. The 2023 was a historic season for Marshall and the Bengals as several players were selected to all county, all division, all region and all met teams as post season honors while Marshall was named the Montgomery County Coach of the Year for the 2nd time. Several Bengals also set regular season and career records during the 2023 run under Coach Marshall. The Bengals amassed a school record 389 points while only giving up 118.
In his first year as the Head Coach, Coach Marshall led the Bengals to a school record 8 wins before falling in the Maryland State Quarterfinals. The team adopted the #WeNOtme mantra all season that led to the best season in school history. 10 Players were named to the Montgomery County ALL 4A Team (school record) and Coach Marshall was named the 4A Coach of the Year. In addition to a record breaking season, the Bengals also set a school record with 339 points scored as well as forcing 31 turnovers on defense.Â
Coach Marshall comes in with a experience coaching at Northwood High School from 2009-2015 was the Wide Receivers Coach and Offensive Coordinator. The following season, Coach Marshall served as the Offensive Coordinator at Albert Einstein High School before coming to Blake High School as the Wide Receivers Coach in 2016. In 2017, Coach Marshall was the Junior Varsity Head Coach compiling a 25-7 record with 2 back to back undefeated seasons in 2017 and 2018. While serving as the Co-Offensive Coordinator at Blake from 2017-2021, Coach Marshall helped orchestrate several top offenses in in points per game will helping the Bengals make 4 straight playoff appearances in the Maryland State Playoffs.
Coach Marshall currently works at Blake High School as the College and Career Information Coordinator.
