Colorful Minds is a club that meets once a month in F212. We talk about a range of things, from mental health challenges and what is relevant mental health-wise for that month (like in December and January we discuss winter depression), to fun art-based activities like mandalas or painting. This combination of discussing mental health and also creating art aims to provide a safe space for students to feel like they can de-stress, unwind, learn about mental health, let their creativity flow, and meet new people.

We meet biweekly in room F-120 and are a club dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health awareness. The project started at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014 and has spread to many colleges and high schools throughout the last 9 years, with it being established at B-CC in 2023. Each member has a green bandana on their backpack, signifying that they are a safe person to talk to and can refer students to various mental health resources in the building. Students are not meant to be counselors/therapists, but rather a segway/advocate to their peers obtaining help.
