Library Aides
Interested in helping out in the media center? We have a limited number of openings for responsible students who would like to help during their lunch period with collecting passes and checking out books. See Mrs. Lamb for an application and interview.
Emergency Drill Procedures
Fire Drill: Turn right out of the media center, go out front entrance. Cross the bus loop to the far grassy area along Perrywood Drive. Wait quietly for media staff or your teacher to take attendance.
Shelter: Continue working and follow directions of media staff or your teacher. Do not leave the media center.
Lockdown: Move to an area away from the windows (between bookcases is a good place). You must be absolutely silent during lockdown. Lights will be turned off and shades drawn down. Listen for directions.
Weather: In the event of serious weather threats like a tornado, move as a group under direction of media staff or teacher to lower level of building away from windows (7th grade locker banks or hallway between stairs).
Earthquake: Get under a table and away from tall shelves or items that can fall on you. If you can't get under a table, crouch on the floor and cover your head and neck with your hands.
