Mr. Eric Young is so happy to be back teaching at Price's Fork. Previously, Mr. Young taught here at PFES from 2004-2016. In 2016, Mr. Young left the classroom and worked as a educational consultant and teacher trainer for music teachers all over United States and China! In 2018, he returned to the classroom and has worked for different school systems. During this time, Mr. Young taught elementary school music and middle school band and choir. In 2022, Mr. Young rejoined the PFES Staff.
Mr. Young has a Bachelors of Music in Music Education from Radford University and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech. He is an Orff Schulwerk Certified Teacher holding Levels I, II, III and multiple master classes. Mr. Young serves as president of the Virginia Highlands Orff Chapter and previously served on the National Board of Trustees for the American Orff-Schulwerk Association.
Mr. Young began his interest in music in 4th grade when he started learning to play the clarinet. Mr. Young is a woodwind specialist playing a wide variety of woodwind instruments.
