Please remind your child to complete his/her assignments at home in pencil. This allows mistakes to be erased and correctly neatly. If you are in need of pencils at home, let me know and I would be happy to send some home with your child! Assignments should also be completed in students' own handwriting (not the parents').
Work that is not finished in class may be sent home to be completed. That work should be completed as soon as possible so that students stay caught up with what we are learning in class. Other than that, I try my best to keep homework to a minimum.
Please remind your child to charge their Chromebook every night and bring it to school every day. Chargers should also be brought to school in case they are needed.
Breakfast and Lunch Information
Breakfast and lunch prices are shown below. Any family may complete a Free and Reduced Meals online application at the following website: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application. You may add money to your child's mySchoolBucks account at the following website: https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/getmain.action?clientKey=&requestAction=home. Each month's breakfast and lunch menus may be found at: https://mcps.nutrislice.com/menu/auburn-elementary-school.
Extra-Curricular Activities
If your child participates in any extra-curricular activities throughout the year, I would love to know when and where they are taking place! I enjoy coming to the students' games and activities, so I will try my best to come to at least one of them, if not more!
Food and Drinks
Birthday treats may be sent in, but they must be pre-packaged and store-bought (nothing homemade). Please be mindful that we may have dietary restrictions and/or allergies in our class, so I ask that you check with me before sending anything in. Thank you for your help with this!
Outside food from restaurants may not be brought in to students during lunch. You are always welcome to eat lunch with your child! You may either purchase a school lunch or bring a packed lunch from home.
Water bottles may be kept in the classroom. Water is the only liquid that is allowed in the bottles. I do ask that water bottles be taken home at the end of each week to be washed.
