Technical Theatre I: (9-12)The standards for Technical Theatre introduce students to the knowledge of theatre design, production, and management. Students develop problem-solving, communication, organizational, and management skills. Students also learn safe operating procedures, including the care, maintenance, and storage of tools, materials, and equipment.
Curriculum Includes:
Introduction to StagecraftÂ
Elements of Design (lights, sound, costume, makeup, set, and props)
Stage Management
Work on current BHS productions
Technical Theatre II: (10-12)The standards for Technical Theatre help students apply and expand their knowledge of theatre design, production, and management. Students develop problem-solving, communication, organizational, and management skills. Students also practice safe operating procedures, including the care, maintenance, and storage of tools, materials, and equipment.
Curriculum Includes:
Continuing the elements of Stagecraft from Technical Theatre I
Design (lights, sound, costume, makeup, set, and props)
Stage Management
Work on current BHS productions
