Why does my child have a computer in their backpack??
Each child should be getting a Chromebook to bring home.
How does my child log into this computer?
To log into this Chromebook, children need to enter their MCPS email address which is their firstnamelastname@mcps.org the password will be either their first name lunch number (no spaces) or lunch number first name (no spaces).
What happens if my child breaks their Chromebook or if something stops working??
Contact the teacher and she will take care of the rest. MCPS has a special team of technology specialists that will pick up the Chromebook and get it fix or replace it with another one. In the meantime, the student will get a loaner to use while waiting on the repair. The student will not be responsible for paying for the repair.
