I was born and raised in the Madison area. My family moved to Verona when I was in 4th grade and is where my parents still live. I am an only child - no brothers or sisters, but I always had a K9 sibling. ☺ When I graduated from high school, I moved to downtown Madison to attend the University of Wisconsin...GO BADGERS! I majored in Elementary Education and History (U.S. History is my favorite!).
After college, I moved to Winona, MN and was a Special Education Assistant for 5th and 6th graders at their middle school for two years. I moved back to Madison in 2010 to teach 5th grade in Milton (near Janesville...about 45 minutes south of Middleton). In 2012 I came to Middleton to teach Technology Enrichment at Sauk Trail, which I taught for two years. Then I moved back into the regular ed classroom and taught 4th grade. As you can see, I’ve done a little bit of a lot of things in teaching! I’ve loved all my experiences, but I love teaching 5th grade so much, so here I am at Glacier Creek! I have been teaching for 8 years, 6 of them in 5th grade. I am also currently working on my master's degree in Educational Leadership.
I am married to a fellow teacher, Mr. Cree, who is a Choir/General Music teacher at Kromrey Middle School. We have two kids. Evelyn (5 years old) loves to read, run, dance, and do art projects. Alexander (10 months old), or Xander for short, loves to crawl, eat, and babble! They are so much fun and definitely keep us busy!

I grew up outside of Kansas City, Missouri on fifteen acres and spent my childhood making tree forts, acting in home movies with my two older brothers, and traveling all over the United States. My parents still live out in the country and I love going back to visit them and my two adorable nephews.
I attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where I earned my bachelors in History and Psychology. From there, I moved to Ayamonte, Spain to teach English to adults. During that year, I had the opportunity to travel all across Europe and discovered my passion for teaching. After returning to the states, I moved to Madison and obtained my license and Masters in Teaching. This is my fourth year at Glacier Creek Middle School and I love being a Sabercat!
My hilarious husband Jeff and I have been married for two years. We love exploring the east side of Madison, taking our dog (Stalzy) for long walks, traveling, and cooking up new recipes.
