Hello. My name is Vikrant. I am a cinematographer and a video editor who likes to tell stories through a visual medium. I have been also working as a freelance editor which has provided me the opportunity to work with clients such as LinkedIn, Licious and content creators from social media like YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
📌 Over the course of five years I have worked on a variety of contents such as commercials, documentaries, interviews, table top food recipes, vlogs, tutorials, product videos, and event videos. These videos range from 30 seconds to 10 minutes that shows I’m capable of working on both short and long format videos.
📌 Currently, I'm working at Azim Premji Foundation as a documentary cinematographer. My role demands shooting and editing of films for Azim Premji Foundation and the Azim Premji University. I have worked on two series on nature and sustainability and numerous other films. I covered a 15 day event that happened at the university and currently, I am working on a documentary around forests.
📌 From June 2022 to July 2022, I was working at The Bastion as a multimedia editor. I was responsible for all the visual and editorial requirements that went on to the website and social media page. I created around 24 Instagram posts and 5 videos and shot 1 documentary during my tenure, i.e of two months.
📌 From October 2021 to May 2022, I was working at LearnReel as a video editor that provides video courses and lessons from the world's best creators and experts. In the first 2 months I had created around 500 videos.
📌 In January 2021, I was working at Typito (a web based drag & drop tool to create engaging videos with beautiful typography, images and brand layouts). I was one of the core members of the template designing team and I created more than 25 templates for the organisation.
📌 To sum up my experience I can say that I have a strong sense of shooting and editing documentaries. I use tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects and Illustrator & Photoshop to edit a video.
📌 In December, 2019, I interned at DO Creative Labs (film production company) where I had the opportunity to work as an assistant director for commercial shoots for brands like Kappa and Uber. Along with that I produced my own four short films over the period of 3 months.
📌 I have a Masters degree in Multimedia Journalism from Christ University, Bangalore and I have worked as a travelogue writer and photographer for a travel company as well.
