Students of the Methodist College adhere strictly to the School's motto of "Crede ut intellegas" (meaning "Believe in order to know") and the spirit of democracy and self-discipline in striving for ethical, intellectual, physical, civic mindedness, perfection and spiritual development. The Students' Union of Methodist College was set up in April 1960 to promote unity of students, to seek welfare for students, to promote communication between the students and the College administration, as well as to serve the community.
The basic shape of the logo is round, which symbolizes the unity of students of the whole school.
The "S" is shaped like a long winding road, which encourages the SU members that they bear significant responsibilities on the road they travel far.
The "U" is shaped like a rectangular shield to symbolize the SU strives to protect the welfare of the students.
The red common Bombax flower symbolizes the School, the flower is shaped like a flame representing enthusiasm and rigor.
The blue background symbolizes sensibility and coolness.
