Read the summaries provided in the library book catalog "Bee Books 2025-26" Collection to learn more about the book. The book lists contain a wide range of books to allow all students a chance to participate. Please select the books that are appropriate for your age, reading, and interest level.

ABOUT THE "BEE" LIST
The Books Everyone Enjoys (BEE) Amazing book list is a compilation of books recommended by McKinney Elementary Library Media Specialists (LMS). Each campus LMS recommends several books and a committee of elementary LMS make the final determination as to which books make the list. The committee is made up of 5-7 McKinney ISD Library Media Specialists and the Elementary Instructional Technology Coordinator. At least one LMS has read each book and the book has positive professional reviews.
While the list is intended to encourage students to read books they normally may not select, participating students are NOT required to read every book on the list. This allows students and parents to select which books are best for their student to read for the challenge.
