The SJMS Learning Commons serves 950 students and 100 staff members with a collection of over 20,000 books and other research materials. Students use the learning commons to READ, search databases, conduct research, borrow books, do homework, access educational websites, attend meetings, read, get tech help, study and more.
Students have access to the library before school, during lunch, and after school for academic purposes. Students are also allowed to visit the library during class with a pass from a teacher.
We are available to help students and teachers with a variety of technology applications including MacBook and iPad use and applications, AV set up, online research tools, helpful websites, and more. Username and Password information for databases is located on the school's Destiny homepage. We are hapy to help you with accessing any of the databases.
Literature is available in a variety of formats: hardcover books, graphic novels, ebooks, audio books, magazines, and database articles. New books are ordered each year. Look for new items on the new books shelf and on top of the fiction shelves. If you have a special interest, please let us know. We can help you find materials that are interesting and/or helpful to you.
