We are pleased that you and your family have decided that you will join us as a boarder at John McGlashan College. We will come to know you well as the months go by and we want to help you develop new skills and personal attributes that benefit you as you grow through the critical adolescent years. I am sure you will enjoy the experience - welcome to the JMC family.
It is our hope that the information on this website will assist you and your family to make a smooth transition into the College environment.

Students should regularly check their emails, our KAMAR portal or the school website (mcglashan.school.nz) for updated information and start-up details. They can check their timetables and form classes via the KAMAR portal.

Friday 5th of September - IB and NCEA practice exams start and go into next week.
Friday 12th of September - School Swimming Sports
Saturday 13th of September - School Fete - Boarders to stay in, also boarding parents function.

Sporting information can be accessed on our sports app. Search 'School Apps' on the App Store or similar. Once downloaded, you can choose John McGlashan College in the drop down and then select what sports you want notifications for.

Reach is the system that we use to create and manage boys leave from day to day to weekend. Below is an information sheet about how to use the system and how to create a host which is a family that your son may choose to stay with for a night.
