Each homeroom visits the library for one hour for a library/tech lesson. Homerooms visit related arts on a Day 1 thru 6 schedule. During this one hour block, students are able to check out library books. You can see the RA rotations HERE. The Library/Tech homeroom schedule can be found HERE.

We do not charge overdue fines. We smile and say, "Thank you! Now another student can check this out and you can get a new book to read".
Please keep the book and home and enjoy until finished! We do not need to formally "renew" the book.
Many times we can repair a book. Please don't try to fix it. Alert us to the page or section of the book that needs repair and we will use our special tape or glue to do our magic.
If the damage to the book is beyond repair, you may either purchase an exact copy replacement and donate it or pay a replacement fee that will be posted in your child's Infinite Campus account.
Please message Amie Martin through Seesaw or by email at martina@mcfsd.org letting her know the library book is misplaced. Most times the books turn up and are here at school or found at home.
All students in the district are responsible for lost or damaged library-media materials that are checked out to them. All district library materials must be returned to the library by the last day of the school year. The full replacement cost of any unreturned or damaged library item will be charged to the student’s Infinite Campus account in June. Because the funds are used to purchase replacements, if a book is found after payment has been made, the district will not issue refunds. The student may either keep the book or return it as a donation to the library. Any items checked out at the time a student withdraws from school must be returned or paid for upon withdrawal.
During Library/Tech class, we print out overdue book slips for students.
Email notices will be also be sent to the guardians' emails once a month listing any books that are overdue.
Yes! We loan books out to each other all the time. If a book is requested that is reviewed for an older audience, we require a signed note or email from a guardian giving their child permission to receive the book.
