CALL 828-652-3229 to get more information about applying. If you are ready to apply, we will schedule an appointment with you to come in and fill out the application with a staff member. At that time, we will ask you to bring: the child's birth certificate, the child's Social Security number, and verification for all income in your household for the last 12 months or previous year.

All completed applications will go on the program's wait list for the center you specify. Your child's application ranking is based on the Federal Poverty guidelines and our program's local selection criteria. Head Start mandates that children and families with the most need be served first. Our selection criteria ensures that those children and families receive priority. However, ALL completed applications are placed on our wait list.
