Make a list of deadlines for college & scholarship applications
Prepare for Fall test retakes if necessary
Start applying for scholarships
Plan & take college visit
Set up student and parent FSA ID's www.fafsa.gov (Federal Student Aid)
Take ACT and or SAT
Continue scholarship applications Request transcripts & letters of recommendations
Work on admissions essays, make sure to proof-read before submitting
Make sure applications are complete & all required parts of the applications are complete. Go online to check it will tell you if you are missing something.
Begin FAFSA
Gather Information for FAFSA - tax returns (W-2's for student & parent), SSN (Student & Parent), FSA ID (Student & Parent)
Attend FAFSA night at YSU and MHS if you need help with your FAFSA
YSU Penguin Preview Day - reservation form
Finish FAFSA with your parents
Watch for acceptance letters in the mail & in your e-mail.
Check your university's FAFSA priority deadlines, YSU is December 1st, remember campus based aid is first come first serve.
Keep applying for scholarships
Check your student Aid Report (SAR) to ensure the information on Your FAFSA is correct.
Review financial aid letters
Meet with Mrs. Bosheff for Mid year credit check
Apply for scholarships
Take final college visits
Be on the lookout for MHS scholarships
Make your final college decision and send in acceptance and housing deposit by the deadline (Usually May 1st)
Complete any final scholarships applications
Request your final transcript to be sent to your school
Meet with Mrs. Bosheff for final credit check
Graduation
