Howdy!

This is my 4th year at McDade ISD and 18th proudly serving students with disabilities across Texas. At McDade we strive to have our students make progress with their peers, while learning to advocate for themselves and learn to work with their disability and not against it.  Please feel free to contact myself or anyone in the department for assistance. 

I am privileged to be the mother to my strong willed daughter, Grace. She has become my why daily. My husband, Nathan, is also an educator in Bastrop ISD.

I am a 3rd generation McDadian.  I graduated from Elgin High School and received my bachelors in Education from Texas State University.  This is my 14th year in education.  I formerly worked in various special education positions, such as life skills and inclusion support.  I also taught 4th grade ELA/Texas History for 3 years and 3rd grade ELA/social studies for one year.  This is my 5th year in McDade ISD and my second year as the dyslexia interventionist.  I enjoy reading, laughing, drawing, and Starbucks. 

I have eight years of teaching experience, all in rural Texas. I've spent the majority of my career teaching secondary English and have recently made the change to Special Education. I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students. My passion for education drives me to help students achieve both academic success and personal growth.
