The McCracken County High School Theatre Department is an award-winning program dedicated to developing confident performers, creative artists, and collaborative leaders. Whether your passion is acting, singing, dancing, designing, building, or working behind the scenes, our program offers meaningful opportunities for every student to learn, grow, and shine.
Students can explore theatre through Drama I, Drama II, Drama III, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Production & Design, gaining hands-on experience both in the classroom and on the stage. From first-time performers to experienced theatre artists, every student is challenged to discover new skills while becoming part of a supportive and welcoming community.
Each year, our department presents a full season of performances, including a fall play, a spring musical produced in collaboration with the Music and Dance departments, winter and spring showcases, and additional student performances throughout the year. Our productions have earned regional and state recognition for artistic excellence, reflecting the incredible talent, dedication, and teamwork of our students and staff.
The stage is open to everyone. Students do not have to be enrolled in a theatre class to audition or participate in productions. Whether you're looking to perform, create, or discover your place behind the scenes, you'll find a community that encourages creativity, celebrates excellence, and believes every student has something to contribute.
