Auditions will take place in WEEK 18 of Term 4 2022. They will take place on Tuesday 29th November. 3.20-5.00pm. Rehearsals will begin Week 1, 1st Term 2023..
Students across Year 4-10 are welcome to audition. You do not have to prior performance experience to be involved.
We are seeking actors for main roles, supporting roles and ensemble performers. We are also very interested in any students who have a gymnastics background or any other athletic ability to be trained in basic circus skills such as juggling, tumbling, skating, scootering, unicycle riding and stilt walking!

· AUDITION PANEL: You will be auditioning for our Performing Arts teachers. Ms Vanessa Johnson - Director and Ms Haigh – Assistant Director
· WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for performers who have a large stage presence, excellent vocal skills especially in relation to projection, expression and clarity and courage to take creative yet safe risks! We are also seeking performers who are highly committed to all stages of the project. Performers need to be committed to attending rehearsals, learning lines, collaborating with others and have a very high level of focus.
Students who are selected to be members of the production cast will be required to attend set rehearsals. Days and times will be published when the rehearsal schedule will be finalised. Rehearsals will most likely take place on TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY afternoons and closer to the production week some SUNDAY rehearsals will be required. You will only need to attend the rehearsals that involve your scene and we will let you know what and when this will be.

AUDITIONING FOR MAJOR ROLES & SUPPORTING ROLES
· For the audition students will need to present a prepared monologue from the list provided. (No longer than 1.5 minutes in length)
· You may be asked to do some script reading from the play and the script and scene will be provided for you during the audition
· Preparation is key! Learn your lines, consider how your character might speak, move and walk and show us you have taken care and time in preparing for your audition
· Students will be asked to complete an improvisation based on set of given circumstances and character traits that will be provided at the audition
