1. The district has scheduled an Employee Flu Shot Clinic at McHi on Friday, Oct.15th from 7:00 am to 9:00 am in the McHi Auditorium. All full-time MISD insured employees are eligible. You must present your MISD Insurance Card and Patient Information Form on that day. If you are interested in the flu shot, please stop by the Principal's Office to register asap. Deadline to sign up is Oct.13th (Wednesday).

2. The library is offering tech support to students every Monday after school and every Wednesday before school. If you are having a problem with your Chromebook or other technical problem, we will have tech support available in the library every Monday after school beginning at 4:15 and also on Wednesday mornings beginning at 7:30. We will see you there

3. STUDENTS: PLEASE GO BY THE CAFETERIA TO SEE THE AWESOME HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS THAT THE CAFETERIA LADIES HAVE PREPARED JUST FOR YOU. DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A SELFIE AND SHARE IT ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA THANKING OUR AMAZING CAFETERIA LADIES. THEY WORKED HARD TO DO THIS ESPECIALLY FOR YOU!

4. Are you interested in science, engineering, technology or investigating scientific phenomenons? We invite you to participate in representing McAllen High School's Science Olympiad. For more information stop by room 202 with Ms. Pealer or 154 with Mr. Perez.

5. Students until further notice, if you are picking up dinner in the cafeteria, you will NOT be allowed to stay and eat in the cafeteria. For those students that stay for Tutorial OR Recovery, please collect your dinner and make your way to your classroom. Thank you for your cooperation. Students a reminder after the bell rings in the afternoon you need to exit the building as soon as possible as the gates to the hallways will be lowered.

6. Staff & Substitutes: Please make sure you have employee tags on your cars. Vehicles without parking permits will be tagged. This includes parking in the CTE Building parking lot. Teachers please make sure you see Lulu our bookkeeper, to turn in your old tags and have your license plate numbers. Substitutes need to see Minnie at the front office as well. Students that drive vehicles to school can get the paperwork for your car tags in Room 131.

7. Reminder Book Club meets Today Wednesday Oct. 13th after school until 5pm. All are welcome to participate. Bring your current read with you. See you in the library.

8. Attention All Criminal Justice Club members!!! We will be meeting Today Wednesday October 13th after school in Mr. Cortez classroom (room 312 CTE building). Please make plans to attend and be prompt!!! Looking forward to seeing you there!

9. Interact meeting in the cafeteria Tomorrow Thursday October 14th after school. We will conclude our officer elections. See you there.

10.Join us for a night of terror at our 2nd Annual Halloween Ball on Saturday 10/23 from 7-11pm at McHi's back gym. Experience a haunted house, dance, tasty treats, costume contest and a scary vibe for $5 a ticket. Costume masks allowed and face masks encouraged. It will be an unforgettable night! Sponsored by Art Club/Art Society and FCCLA/DIY Club.

11.Calling all Sophomores, the Class of 2024 will begin class meetings once a week on Wednesdays after school in room 155. This week, we will be staying after school for the entire week to decorate our Pumpkins for the Pumpkin Decorating Competition! You can also join us for the float decorating for this year's Homecoming Parade! We will begin our float decorating Sunday 10/17 in accordance with StuCo guidelines. Please come by room 155 and see Ms. Sanchez after school this week for more information.
