My name is Cheri Buckner. I am one of the three high school special education teachers at MCHS. I spent 20+ years as a computer programmer/system analyst/quality analyst for a financial software company. In 2015, I went back to school to pursue my lifelong desire of becoming a teacher. I graduated with a degree in Special Education in 2018 from Western Governor's University. I love seeing students be successful and feel it is an honor to be a part of their story. For this reason, I truly enjoy having the opportunity to work one-on-one with students.

I live on a small farm where my husband and I, along with our sons and our son's family, have a small herd of beef cattle. We also have chickens, dogs, and horses.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors riding, camping, and campfire cooking with our family and friends, as well as spending time with our grandchildren.
