How to File Your Candidacy

To run for a position in the Council of Leaders, the aspirant must:

• Have an affiliated political party or run as an independent candidate

  • There are two political parties registered in the MC HEU.

    • KILOS (Katipunera-Inspired Leaders of Service): https://www.facebook.com/MCKILOS 

    • Sandigan: https://www.facebook.com/MCSandigan

• Apply with MC COMELEC's Google Forms Application during the Filing of Candidacy period (Aug. 10 - Sept. 5)

• Meet the grade requirements

  • CQPA

    • 3.5 and above for Presidents and Vice Presidents

    • 3.0 and above for other positions

  • Minimum grade of 3.0* in all subjects in the previous semester of the filing period

  • No F, FA, or INC in the student's whole record in MC, meaning from her first year until present

  • No major offense in MC

• Provide a hard copy with an envelope and have 2 recommenders submit your recommendation form, with the template provided by MC COMELEC in the F-OSA-108. Submit the sealed envelope to the Office of Student Affairs.

*A 2.5 may be given probation, but a grade of 2.0 and below are grounds for disqualification.
