Graduation Photo Ordering Information
Dorian Photography will be capturing images of our graduates during the ceremony.
You may place an order using THIS LINK.
Parchment Electronic Transcript Service
If you would like your final transcript sent electronically through our transcript supplier, Parchment, for a minimal charge, please follow the following steps:
Log in to your Parchment account with your Mira Costa email. If you have never logged into Parchment and need a registration code, please see the Registrar in the Registrars office located in the Admin Bldg.
Enter the information as to where you need your final transcript to be sent. Please note: you will need the email address as to where your school/institution has requested final transcripts be sent.
Remember to choose the HOLD for GRADES when selecting when you want your transcript sent. This will be sent once final grades are in Aeries (traditionally the Monday following graduation).
Confirm your payment...and that's it!

Cap and Gown Order
Caps and gowns are ordered through Jostens and are delivered to and distributed by Mira Costa May 20th. After May 20th, caps and gowns may be picked up in the front office during break, office hours, or lunch. When ordering, please be sure you note this to yourself as many people forget if they have placed the order and Mira Costa will have no record of your order.
Lei, Bouquet, and Shirt Pre-order
Your order of bouquets, Leis and Class of 2024 t-shits will benefit the MCHS Dance Team. Items are available before the graduation ceremony, but leis may not be worn until following graduation.
Textbook and Library Book Return
Student's eligibility to participate in senior events and receive cap and gown may be impacted if they have outstanding fines and/or unreturned library books or textbooks
Contact Mrs. Forier in the library to check student account
Senior Clearance Form Due Friday, May 17 (*Deadline Extended)
Every college-bound graduating senior must complete the Senior Clearance Form (may only be accessed through student’s mbusdapps email account) notifying Mira Costa of their plans for next year to ensure transcripts are sent to their college/university. Final transcripts will not be sent if this process has not been completed.
If student’s Naviance password must be reset, please contact the MCHS CCC as soon as possible for support

Cap and Gown Distribution Monday, May 20 Break and Lunch
Caps and Gowns will be distributed to students at the auditorium at break and lunch
Students must pay all fees at library to receive cap and gown
Students must bring student ID and may only pick up their own cap and gown- they may not pick up for friend, etc.
After May 20, caps and gowns may be picked up at break, office hours, or lunch.
Grad Night Tickets and Yard Signs
Mira Costa High School’s GRAD Nite is an “all-night” party, where our graduating class can enjoy one last evening of fun and food with friends in a safe, substance-free environment. Grad Nite festivities will start with check-in at 8:45pm – after the graduation ceremony and the Strand Stroll – on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Attendees will be bused to a secret, private venue to enjoy a truly unique evening of entertainment.

PTSA hosts breakfast for seniors immediately following the graduation information presentation outside the auditorium
Senior Recognition Night Monday, June 10 - 6:00-8:00 pm (*Time Change)

This is the culmination of the Scholarship Notebook Program; recipients of awards will be notified and invited to attend by late May via email
Recipients, please meet in the cafeteria at 5:15 pm to line up. Dress attire will be the same as for graduation. Program begins promptly at 6:00 pm
Wristband (Ticket) Distribution Tuesday, June11 - 9:00am-2:00pm
Each graduating student receives seven (7) wristbands constituting tickets, which may be transferred to others at will.
Wristbands must be worn for admission and must be worn throughout ceremony
Wristbands are green or gold, corresponding to student's last name and seating of graduates on the field. A-K students comprise the GREEN section and L-Z students comprise the GOLD section
Wristbands will be distributed in front of the main office
Student must come to school in person with school or official photo ID to sign for wristbands; students may only pick up their own wristbands, no friends or parents- NO EXCEPTIONS
Lost wristbands cannot be replaced
Graduation Rehearsal and BBQ With MBPD Wednesday, June 12 - 12:30-3:00 pm
Rehearsal is MANDATORY for all seniors and attendance will be taken
Arrive at Waller Stadium for rehearsal promptly at 12:30 pm
We recommend you bring the shoes you plan to wear for graduation to practice walking in them

Graduation Ceremony Thursday, June 13 - 5:00 pm
Graduates arrive by 3:45pm at the MBUSD District Office Parking Lot at 325 S. Peck
Guests begin arriving at 3:30 pm
Gates will open at 3:00 for pre-designated ADA guests & a companion to choose ADA accessible seating located at the top of Waller Stadium. (Information regarding ADA coming soon.)
Gates will open at 3:30 pm for all guests to choose their seats in their assigned green or gold section
Strand Stroll Thursday, June 13- (Immediately following graduation)
Graduates board buses to be shuttled to 22nd Street in Hermosa where we gather to walk together to Manhattan Beach Pier for a final send-off, photo and mortarboard toss

Senior Slideshow Pictures Due Monday, May 13th by 8:00 pm
Ralf’s Photography will put together a senior slideshow that will be shown at the All-Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 in the auditorium.
Please submit up to 4 photos using the following Google Photos link.
Do not use small, compressed images; photos with high resolution work best to avoid blurriness, as the photos will be made larger.
Photos taken from social media sights are often not “clear” enough; be sure you check your photos before dropping them in folder.
Pictures cannot contain profanity, inappropriate gestures or alcoholic beverages, drugs, or even red cups.

Graduation Speaker/Performer Applications Due April 19 - Room 45
If you are interested in sepaking or performing at graduation, please visit Ms. Howerton (Room 45) to pick up an application and return by Friday, April 19(date has been extended)
Auditions will be held in room 45 at office hours Thursday, April 25.
