Curriculum

Students will progress from the basics of Primary into learning about individual artists and art movements, as well as different types of art. We will delve into the art of Clementine Hunter, Leonardo DaVinci, Keith Haring and others, while also learning about cartooning, graphic design, shading 3-dimensional forms, portraiture and still-life.

DaVinci Inventions

Assignment: create and illustrate a new invention in the style of Leonardo DaVinci

Perspective Demo

Assignment: draw a simple shape using two-point perspective - example by Vivian Foreman

Shading

Assignment: render five levels from light to dark, blend them together, then apply to a lighting situation
