Shaz Iseli is an experienced registered nurse, provide a school based nursing service Monday to Thursday during school hours and are available for Year 9 to 13 students. To make an appointment you can either text 027 3273945 , email for a time at nurse@mbas.ac.nz or just drop in. Services include - a contraception and sexual health service. The registered nurse is able to start and provide contraception and sexual health checks and treatment in the clinic and this is a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL service. Other nursing services provided include general medical advice, sore throat management, accidents and injuries, smoking cessation, addictions and mental health support and referrals.

A Doctor is available on Wednesdays 9am - 10.30am. Please make an appointment through the school nurse in person or by emailing nurse@mbas.ac.nz

Student Diversity Group - The 'E-Team'
Mercury Bay Area School has a regular student group made up of middle and senior years who are passionate about diversity and inclusiveness, driving activities and promoting the important messages that underpin the culture of acceptance and positive relationships MBAS strive for. The self-named ‘E-Team’ (E for Equality), was established at the beginning of 2021, and meet once a week on a Friday at lunchtimes to discuss issues around supporting inclusiveness, and bullying awareness and prevention at school; as well as being a safe and supportive place for students to celebrate their own diversity.
