Welcome to Ms. Manalili's Google Site!
In art class, students will be creating their own "toolbox" of skills and knowledge throughout the school year to be able to learn more about themselves and communicate their ideas in a visual manner. Students will be exploring the use of various art materials and learning about artists throughout history. Art education teaches us to stop and slow down in an often fast paced world. It teaches us to see the beauty in the world around us and to take inspiration after it. It teaches us that the process is just as important as the end product. Learning about famous artists and art movements help us see how art can be used as a way to express ourselves and find our calm.
I believe that every child is an artist and I look forward to working with my students, as well as, the whole school community to make this a great school year!
