GENERAL INFORMATION:
· Chromebooks should be brought to class charged and ready to get to work. There are a limited number of plugs to charge. No extra chargers will be provided, bring your own if you need to charge.
· You must listen to all lectures and assignments for your online classes. No pretesting.
· There is no need for any outside resources, with a few exceptions. (ex: calculator, map or dictionary)
· Only the Edgenuity tab and other tabs relating to your online class should be open. There is a 3 tab maximum.
· In order to pass the class, you must score a 60% or better in the course.
o This includes scoring at minimum of 60% on all tests.
o YOU GET ONE ATTEMPT FOR EXAMS – NO RETAKES OR CHECKS
PERCENTAGE GOALS:
· In order to complete this class by the end of the semester, you will need to average 5.5% per week.
· Weekly progress goals are posted on the side bulletin board and on the FYI board in the classroom.
· If assignments or tests are reset, your percentage will go down. This is only done at the end of the semester, time permitting, to raise a grade.
· It is to your advantage to be a little bit ahead (5-10%). I do not suggest that you get to far ahead of the required percentage. Exams will be taken during exam week and NOT before. Pace yourself, but do not get to far ahead or behind.
CHECKS:
· You will get up to 2** checks of right/wrong answers on quizzes and tests after the 2nd non passing score.
o Sufficient and honest effort must be shown in order to receive this privilege. Notes and time spent will be taken into account when giving checks.
o If your quiz/test score is at 70% or higher, that will be the last time I will check. If time permits at the end of the semester, we can go back and reset low scores to help raise your overall grade.
o **If you are taking an accommodated class, then only one check will be given.
HOMEWORK:
· This class is designed to provide you with plenty of time during the school day to complete the entire course.
o Students have the option of working on lectures, assignments and quizzes outside of class if you wish. All tests and exams must be taken in class.
o All exams will be taken according to the posted exam schedule, unless previous arrangements are made.
MISCELLANEOUS:
· Headphones:
o If you have headphones that are compatible with your chromebook, please bring them to listen to lectures.
o No listening to music without teacher permission. If you are listening to music then you are not listening to the lectures or taking notes.
