Welcome to our virtual family night!
We hope we have put together some fun, educational activities for you to enjoy with your children at home. Our activities this year will be centered around the Gingerbread Man folktales. We have gathered a few of our favorite Gingerbread Man stories for your enjoyment. Please just click on the book.

STEM CHALLENGE
Make a bridge to get the gingerbread man safely across the river.
STEM activities are a wonderful way for your child to use their natural problem solving abilities. These activities also nurture collaboration and creativity-and they are FUN to do as a family! Here are 2 examples of simple bridges your child can make or you can use supplies from around the house and let your child come up with their own!

Now that your bridge is made, they will need something to celebrate with. There's nothing better to catch an elf than a GINGERBREAD MAN COOKIE! Cooking with your child is also a great way to practice the math skill, measuring. Children who have used measuring cups and spoons will have a lot of prior knowledge when they begin to learn these concepts in school. Recipes are also a great way to introduce fractions or provide a hands-on activity that reinforces the concept of fractions. We've included a recipe that we think would be fun to make!
