Philosophy and Policies

The Maynard High School library supports students' education by providing materials that are relevant to today, interesting, perhaps challenging, and engaging. Students are able to broaden their understanding of the world by having access to materials in the library such as books, databases, magazines, and programs organized by the Library Club as well as by the librarian.

The MHS Library also helps raise media and information literacy by running programs and trainings about detecting bias in the information that saturates our lives.

Finally, students and staff alike are welcome to suggest titles and resources they would like to see in the library because this library is their library!
