RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. The Students should obey the instructions given by the Director from time to time.
2. The Students should be regular in attending lectures and practicals.
3. The Students should carry institute’s identity card with them and it should be produced if demanded by the authority.
4. The vehicles should be parked at a notified place. The vehicle parked at non parking zone shall be confiscated.
5. The students should not cause any damage to the college property. The damage caused shall be compensated by the student.
6. The attendance for the tests and tutorials conducted in the college is compulsory.
7. The student having poor attendance and showing consistently poor performance in the test and tutorials shall not be permitted to appear for the University examination.
8. The student should read the notices on the notice board regularly. The students will be held responsible for the further consequences in the view of concerned notices.
9. The students found guilty by an act of misconduct either in the college or outside shall be subjected to strict disciplinary action and may be expelled from the college.
10. It is imperative that the students strictly adhere to the day of opening and closing of each term during the academic year.
11. Smoking, chewing of tobacco and other such elements are strictly prohibited in the Institute premises.
12. Regularity is of utmost importance and thus absence at even a single lecture will be considered as absence for the day.
13. The institute office should be informed in writing of any change in address of the students with immediate effect.
14. Insubordination and rude language or conduct is sufficient reason for the dismissal of the student. The student must remember that respect should be reciprocal.
15. The student should not indulge in any antisocial activities; otherwise the student will be liable to be expelled from the institute.
16. The student should help in maintaining the building and the campus clean and tidy.
17. If student fail to maintain the discipline in campus premises it will be treated as misbehavior and will be solely responsible for strict action by the management authorities.
18. Strict action will be taken against students indulging into ragging as per Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999.
19. The above rules of discipline are always subject to change, modification, addition, omission or alteration as and when the Director feels it fit and proper and the decision of the Director shall be final.
20. Anti Ragging Act:
The Maharashtra prohibition of Ragging Act 1999. Act of Maharashtra legislature received the assent of the Governor on May 15, 1999 and was published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette, Extraordinary, Part VIII, dated may 15, 1999.
S.3 Prohibition of Ragging:
Ragging within or outside any educational institution is prohibited.
S.4 Penalty for Ragging:
Whoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propagates ragging within or outside any educational institution shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years and shall also be liable to a fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees.
S.5 Dismissal of student:
Any student convicted of an offence under S.4 penalty for ragging shall be - dismissed from the educational institution and such student shall not be admitted in any other educational institution for a period of five years from the date of order of such dismissal.
S.6 Suspension of student:
1. Whenever any student or, as the case may be, the parent or guardian, or teacher of an educational institution complaints, in writing, of ragging to the head of the educational institution, the head of that educational institution, shall, without prejudice of the foregoing provisions, within seven days of the receipt of the complaint and if, prima facie, it is found true, suspend the student who is accused of the offence, and shall, immediately forward the complaint to the police station having jurisdiction over the area in which the educational institution is situated, for further action.
2. Where, on inquiry by the head of the educational institution, it is proved that there is no substance, prima facie, in the complaint received under sub-section (1), he / she shall intimate the fact, in writing to the complainant.
3. The decision of the head of the educational institution that the student has indulged in ragging under sub-section (1) shall be final.
